First St Pantry - Canterbury

I recently visited the cafe with an elderly friend, who found it really hard to get out in the first place, my husband and two kids (2 years and 10 months). When we ordered a coffee the waitress said, "so no food". Then they made us get the baby chair ourselves. We felt completely rushed and uncomfortable.I do give them credit though, as they were fast at removing my toddlers babycino (before he was even finished), which started quite the commotion. We felt as if we just sat down before everything on the table was cleared. While we were seated, a mentally disabled person came in the the same lady said to him, "don't you start with me". He was obviously a regular, but the experience was extremely upsetting. I will never come here again.

This is a great place. Relaxed, friendly service, nice food and great coffee. Some home made cakes to tempt you. But, it's to coffee which is consistently good.

I recently moved to the area and was thrilled to stumble upon this adorable little cafe a stones throw from my house. The staff are wonderful and the coffee is great! Can't wait to return for the food!
