Mad Dog Cafe And Market - Canmore

The Mad Dog Cafe is a casual fast food restaurant serving Eastern Indian cuisine, including a variety of curries, snacks, desserts and drinks. You also have a market area where you can buy various Indian sauces and products and frozen/prepared meals. I ate here twice during my visit to Canmore, as my hostel was right next door. Tested the chickpeas with hammered ketchup and the Alu Chole Curry (vegan, potato and chickpeas) with Basmati rice and a Mango Lassi. Everything tasted incredible! I loved the spices and flavors. The restaurant has only a counter-service and you can dive or get out. The seating area was beautiful and had views of the mountains from the windows. The service was very friendly and they even gave me a sample of the curry before they ordered to make sure that I liked it! I'll be back!

The Alu Chole (chicken and potato vegan curry) is extremely tasty! I would definitely recommend it. It was also a nice touch to receive some spices and chai from their market.
