Contribuiți la feedbackWe have read about this place and decided to try it. To our surprise when we sat down, the menu we were given was the same from 'Tacos.com' just two doors down where we ate a few nights earlier! Turns out that these two places are running from the same pair and the only difference is that this place has a larger kitchen, more seating AND they serve grilled chicken and ribs in addition to all major gourmet tacos. The chicken was delicious! Dinner included two pieces of chicken (breast and wing OR leg and thighs), rice, grilled vegetables and a basket of tortillas, all for only 80 pesos! Chips and two very tasty salsas were also served before the meal. Light, friendly waiter and quick service! Good selection of drinks! Great value, super good!
Definitely a place for late night to meet Munchies after a lot of drinking. It's not Chicago or New York, but it's as good as it will.
I'm picky when it comes to food. Food at Chicken Itza Bbq was traditionally from Mexico and easy. I like it, but I don't think it was amazing. I say it was good enough for the day.
Went for lunch and had the beef tacos. They were ok,, really nothing special. We preferred tacos.com next door. We did see the roasted chicken, but it was sitting on a hot day on the counter next to the bbq grill in plastic containers. We were leery to try the chicken. I really wanted to like this place after reading all the reviews. We generally like these hole in the wall joints.
The food was very good, the dancing from the Mexicans was very short, then they hang around with the picking bowl.
