Contribuiți la feedbackWe decided to visit this restaurant on its last day before closing, without realizing that it was shutting down. My daughter had been watching "Bake Squad" and we were excited to try it out after seeing many episodes. The restaurant is quite spacious, but only about a quarter of it was being used. This has been the case for the past five months, even though it always seems crowded and there isn't much space for a line or seating. While they were limited on items due to the impending closure, I was disappointed when they couldn't make an item I requested because they didn't have the right cups. They could have used regular drinking cups instead of their fancy ones. The food was overly sweet and heavy, not meeting my expectations.
I had an amazing experience at the Milk Bar Harvard Square location! All of the staff was very kind and friendly, and also provided great recommendations. Amazing customer service. I ended up getting the “Greatest Hits” combo which is a great deal (compost cookie, Bday truffles, slice of Milk Bar pie, and cereal milk soft serve with cornflake topping). The soft serve flavour was unique in the best way possible, nothing I’ve ever had before, and the cornflake topping added a nice crunch, richness, and a bit of saltiness too. It tastes exactly like a bowl of cereal! The Milk Bar pie was also very gooey and sweet, as promised on the website. The truffles and compost cookie were delicious as well. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!
Cereal milk soft serve was SO good. Definitely can taste the corn flakes aspect to it. Crack pie, or now the milk bar pie was good as always.$7 USD for the soft serve is a bit steep in pricing tho
I visited this restaurant some time ago after being inspired by Christina Tosi on Chef's Table. I was disappointed to find that the location was in a shared space with a pizza restaurant. The line was long and the space was cramped, but I didn't smell any baked goods—just greasy pizza. The cookies and cake truffles were prepackaged in plastic, which was disheartening. The staff at the counter were unfriendly and the crack pie was not as described. I later decided to try one of their cakes, which was overly sweet, dry, and crumbly. Unfortunately, my experience at Milkbar was a letdown.
The staff at this restaurant was incredibly helpful both over the phone and in person. Even though I had a long drive ahead of me, I wanted to try a couple pints of their ice cream. They didn't have freezer bags, but two employees went out of their way to get cups of ice with lids and triple bag the pints to keep them cold for me! The desserts may be a bit pricey, but they are definitely worth it. I am thrilled that there is a Boston location for this restaurant.
