Contribuiți la feedbackAs of 12/10/22 they have changed their name to Wyld Pines Public House and have a new website (the old website hasn't been taken down yet . Same owners, etc, new name just more accurately reflects what they are because they are more than a basic taproom with pub grub. I submitted this update to Yelp today so hopefully it will get updated here soon. We enjoyed lunch here yesterday. Interesting fun decor with a flair for the uniqueness the PNW has to offer. They have a decent selection of local beers on tap along with an extensive whiskey cocktail menu. Their food menu looks great, too, with plenty of starters, salads, burgers/sammies and nicer entrees as well. One downside of the menu is they don't have many gluten-free option, so it would be nice if they added a gluten-free bun/bread/tortilla option for their burgers, wraps sammies. The Hubs had their burrito, which was delicious. I had the veggie wrap and upgraded $2 to sweet potato fries as a side (and they were the crinkle-cut kind, nice! . The wrap was quite good, but I do have 2 suggestions for their kitchen to improve it: cut the broccoli florets smaller (some were huge, especially in comparison to the size of the other cut veggies , and thicken up the peanut sesame sauce (it was more of a vinaigrette which dripped all over; perhaps add some mayo to make it more of a dressing/sauce consistency .
We enjoy the pub food and atmosphere at this place. The staff has always been friendly. The kids' menu offers great options for my family. The restaurant is partially set into the ground, which provides a unique experience as we can watch the cars driving by.
We used to be regulars, but that might have changed. My husband and I have been coming here at least twice a month for date nights. We almost always get an appetizer, drinks and a meal and have never had an issue. Food is good, drinks are great and the servers have always been helpful. We 've had almost every server and tonight we had someone new. We were patient and expected there could be some delay because it was a busy night and we had someone new learning the ropes. I ordered a couple things off the happy hour menu for myself (pregnant and our toddler to share, and my husband ordered a drink and meal for himself. When our food came out, I got our order of avocado fries (they were great! , but not Mac, and my husband got his meal and drink. After waiting 30 minutes we were nearly done with what we had and still not mac. We spoke with the server and just requested the Mac to go since we were about at our limit with the toddler. A couple minutes later the server came back with our check, but everything was regular price when my items (still hadn 't received my Mac should have all been happy hour pricing. He reviewed and came back and said they typically don 't to HH pricing for to go items... but I didn 't initially order it to-go, I requested it to go because I 'd waited a half hour for it after we got our food. After a bit, he fixed it and all was fine. Again, we knew the server was new, it was busy and I 'm sure it was an honest mistake. That 's not why we may not come back. After I left with the kiddo (again pregnant and having not eaten much , my husband stayed behind to speak with the manager. The manager is the reason we may not come back. My husband expressed his frustration that we were initially charged regular price for something we were still waiting for, hadn 't eaten, and now needed to-go. We felt something more should have been done to make us whole. The manager didn 't got give him the attention to fix and keep our business, rather told him the best they could do was give us the exception to honor the HH pricing because they don 't do that on to-go items. Even though this was exactly what we had ordered and would have eaten there, he would not do anything further or even make eye contact a he left. It was completely disappointing. The server on the other hand was apologetic, admitted he forgot the order, and was remorseful for the delay.
Based on my recent experience, I wanted to update my previous review. We opted for delivery again, but we plan to dine in soon. Tonight, we ordered chicken tacos, fish tacos, and a pretzel. Everything arrived well-packaged and fresh. The fish tacos were particularly enjoyable, featuring tender fish and a new addition of tartar sauce. The chicken tacos were good too, although the lettuce didn't hold up well after being warmed—perhaps that’s a topping that could be reconsidered. Overall, this order was a pleasant improvement, and I’m grateful that the owner reached out to me earlier. Sometimes, it’s just an off night, and I view my previous experience that way. I recommend checking this place out when you're in the area, and I look forward to trying some new dishes soon.
Tapped has become one of my favorite brewpubs in Vancouver. I come here with my wife and college-aged son about once a week, and it's consistently great. The draft beer selection is good (about 15 taps), and changes often. The few cocktails I've had there have also been great. The food menu has a good variety, and everything I've had has been great. Service is always great, and the servers are friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone.
