Oyster - Cagliari

I dined here three out of five evenings after being wowed by the fresh, bright oysters and comfortable homey atmosphere. When I branched out to the octopus carpaccio, fregula, fresh pasta dishes… wonderful! The sebadas were a dream. As a solo diner, I watched family groups enjoy their time while I felt right at home.

Delicious wine, fresh local oysters and exceptional seafood fresh pasta... would recommend to anyone!

We have made a reservation for August, 30th, at 8:45 p.m. We got asked where to sit: inside or outside? We wanted to sit inside. Upon arrival we saw that only one table outside was occupied and the same was inside. So we entered this Ristorante. Although the waiter has passed us 2 times he has not cared about us. Then we informed him that we made a reservation. Instead of giving us a warm welcome or just to great us his only question was : Inside or outside? We answered inside. Now although there were plenty of free tables inside, he pointed us not guided to the stairs and told us that we should go upstairs. Upstairs it was looking like a nice decorated restaurant. We were the only guests! Then we received the menu. And guess what, on the menu was written restaurant Italia!! It is located under a different house number and belonging to the hotel opposite side. So we informed the waiter that we have done a reservation for the restaurant oyster and went down. Now we decided to sit outside. The tables are very small. There are no blankets on the tables. Soon we got presented the so named menu and wine list. Both of it was looking primitive! It were just flying or crumbled pages fixed on a board. When asking for the wine list we got shown one page where only some wines offered by the glass were listed! This is a fine trick! When you order it by the glass the prices are much higher comparing to order a bottle! So we asked the waiter for a wine list offering bottles. We got told that this is not excisting. But we could go inside and have a look at the racks. If we will find a bottle and want to drink it, then we will see the price on the bottle and need to add 4,00 €. Then he has shown me the rack with wines from other regions of Italy. It was difficult to stand in front of the rack because a table with guests was placed there! I have asked the waiter for other wines and got presented the rack with wines from France. Of course all of the wines from other regions from Italy or foreign wines are much more expensive. So I asked the waiter for wines from Sardegna. Now he has shown me a different rack far away from the rack with wines from other Italian regions. Of course all of this belongs to the concept to sell more expensive wines. There was no advice from the staff. So I made my own choice. In general inside the restaurant you will find a big choice of good wines. Now we made our order. We ordered 2 oysters, 2 red prawns very small size , 2 Langostinos. It was charged with 26,00 €. Then we ordered 3 red prawns very small size on the bed of sauce and charged with 12,00 €. In addition I ordered Tuna Tartar. 11,00 € . We have not received bread ! The presentation, quality and taste was at best average. Of course refilling the wine was not done. My subjective rating: Service: 1 point Ambiance: 1 2 points Price and value for money: 1 2 points Quality, preparation and presentation of meals: 2 3 points Finally I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Exceptional service and high quality seafood. we have made fresh oysters and raw and fried seafood. one in our group did the Fregola court and we ended up with cheese, extensive and deep wine list, many global and local selections to choose. casual atmosphere. great experience.

We just came here for the oysters. Variety of types of oysters. We had a second order after we finished the first one.
