Estea Cafe Kingsway - Burnaby

Original bubble tea/Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby on Kingsway. Super spacious for dine-in, and every second table is removed for a comfortable/clean dining experience during covid. Plenty of parking at the back which is a bonus.Their slushes are honestly very reasonably priced, and it’s a pretty large cup (one-size only) compared to a lot of other places.Taro slush $4.75:Right amount of creaminess, nice ice/slush texture. I got regular sweetness, which was great.Mango slush $4.75:Fruity and refreshing. Pearls were a good texture too, not too soft or hard.

The food is pretty good here and acceptable price. I like all the beverages, especially the capis green tea!!

Food was alright. Portion was good. Overall lacking a bit of flavour. Large seating area.

I ordered a regular bubble tea with red beans in it but they took my order incorrectly with a flavored drink. When they remade it, instead of asking me if it was okay to make it without bubbles since their last batch was used in the previous drink, they added extra red beans to make up for it. Honestly, when I order bubble tea I expect bubbles to be in my drink, not without it. They should've confirmed with me first that there won't be any bubbles in the next drink, instead of assuming that it was okay without it. That way I would be given a chance to decide if I wanted a drink without bubbles, which I'd rather not. I took their *corrected* drink since I did not want to argue, but it left me disappointed. I really hope they make sure they got the order right before making anything, and always ask the customer first when there's an adjustment to be made.

Great place to hang and chill with good quality food it's been over 15 years since I've visited back in my high school days and it looks better than ever. I love how peaceful it is inside. Will be coming back when I feel like having a nice Taiwanese style meal in peace.
