I was reluctant to go here since I play golf at this golf course in the mornings and head straight to work. It wasn’t what I expected it was the homey feeling of the 19th hole with incredible food. I came out for Dineout Vancouver, we had the 3 course meal for $34. Ethel was our great server and made us feel like home. Wild Mushroom Velouté cheese tortellini, chive crème fraîche, truffle oil, asiago garlic toast The soup was viciously delicious, the truffle oil complemented the mushrooms and the tortellini. Crispy Shrimp Caesar breaded jalapeño shrimp, romaine lettuce, kale, asiago, lemon, crispy avocado “crouton,” chipotle aioli The shrimp and the salad was crisp but the chipotle brought everything together. Mulligans Signature Steak and Lobster 7oz. AAA New York Steak, 3oz. garlic-butter baked Atlantic lobster tail, roasted garlic-redskin smashed potato, seasonal vegetables, Merlot demi-glace I had ordered a rare steak and wow it was done correctly and the lobster was cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all. Salmon Lobster Tail pan-roasted sockeye salmon filet, garlic butter-baked Atlantic lobster tail, saffron-Basmati rice, seasonal vegetables, brandy-lobster cream DESSERTS New York Cherry Cheesecake Chef’s Daily Feature Dessert Chocolate cake with peanut butter crunch and raspberry coulee. I was honestly expecting pub food but got some thing pretty close to fine dining. Parking was ample and I feel they did a good job with their COVID plan. I would return for the regular menu. Very good value.
The two of us were seated by the corner window. With the evening sun fading out and the greenery turning autumn reddish and yellow tone, such a fairy tale ambience. What a treat. We ordered the $29 dinner special and the food, the presentation and ambience and also the view was so spectacular plus the attentiveness of the server. Also ample free parking. Reservation is very tight, so better make sure there is a few choice of dates before you phone.
We came with my husband at 5pm. The place was empty, but by the time we left around 6:30 it was packed! Lots of the golfers come after work so the place get very busy and parking gets full The restaurant is very pleasant and the wine was great. The food was delicious and the prices are welcoming too. I liked the special 3course dinner for 30$ and steak was great. Wonderful selection of drinks and menu, friendly staff. Vegetarian selection available. Without wine it’ll be 3course meal under 70$ for two.
Well with the change in name and change in Dineout Vancouver 2019 menu it was time to review my favourite $25 three course meal restaurant again. Well the stars were the 6oz medium rare ny steak and lobster tail and Beef Short Rib. Again the meals were delicious and with it being only $25 I would say it is the best value Dineout Vancouver meal available. Not only that but you have to reserve early to get a table because it sells out quickly. The reason for this is because it closes at 8 pm which I only found out this year. So unless you book early good luck finding a table. We finished it off with Cheese Cake, Creme Brule and Apple Crumble pie. The service was good but a bit slow. But because of the busyness of the restaurant it was to be expected. I will definitely be back again next year. Thumbs up!
