The flavors were amazing, to be honest. I would prefer to come here for pasta instead of other places like Prego's or Da Vinci. The two gentlemen who worked there were laid-back and friendly. There's really nothing not to love about this place.
The seating at this restaurant is not great and the prices are a bit high. However, the food is excellent and the service is top-notch. The presentation of the dishes is also impressive, especially the amazing bread, Italian cold cuts, pepper spread, and honey-drizzled goat cheese. The tiramisu and pancetta were not as good, but the prosciutto puffs and espresso cake were outstanding. The wine selection is good and the Italian seltzers are great. The owner, who is Australian, has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and NYC. The chef works hard but the location may not be the best for him. Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem.
This is an incredible spot to enjoy a panini and more, especially after getting a pedicure at the neighboring salon.
If you like the real stuff, this is the place. I don’t see how it isn’t tops in the region. You know it’s legit by the crust on the focaccia and guanciale in the carbonara among many other things. They’re also really nice and happy to answer questions. Don’t be turned off by the location; chef has long track record working in Michelin joints in nyc, lucky to have him in town. Kudos, chef and team!
