We were walking by and saw this place had bobas but also the famous Korean mozzarella corn dogs. My husband had never had one so we decided to go in to grab on for him to taste. We order a coffee boba and the corn dog as well as a water bottle. About 5 min after I placed the order, it was ready. The guy who did it handed my corn dog to me and I was already not impressed. It looked tiny and def a frozen kind you can find at Costco. Well it Ake a bite and it was frozen inside still. Horrible. I walk over to the counter to tell the guy that it was frozen. He apologized and said he would drop it back in the oil. Which made me concerned bc I already took a bite... I wanted to make sure I would be getting a brand new one. So I ask the lady in the front and he stepped in and said no problem for sure he would give me a new one. I see him open a frozen corn dog and then he comes out to put a timer on and then apologizes. I said it was fine I just want the corn dog. By this time we get the boba. It was good. Time goes on and I get the feeling the corn dog is going to be burnt this time around since the timer went off and the guy was still doing a different order instead. We finish the entire boba drink and still waiting on the tiny corn dog. Finally this guy comes up to me and starts to give me a whole complicated story as to why my order isn't ready. Something about him taking them out of the freezer to defrost but the one he did for me wasn't defrosted or something. I heard the timer go off so my bet is he burned it. Look I get things happen and people are young and learning but this dude had to be at least I. His mid thirties. I don't understand what was so difficult about making the corn dog. At this point I'm beyond frustrated and I asked him to just give me a refund. He's issues my refund and then had to explain to the lady in the front why he was doing so.Honestly I was beyond disappointed, they should stick to boba and leave any food out of it since it proved to be too difficult for them to do efficiently.
I love boba. But when I went to this location I stood there waiting for a cashier while 3 or 4 employees were in the back. Not happy they didn't assist or acknowledged I was waiting.
I love this place! Miguel is the best, I have been visiting here since many months and everytime he customises my drink however I like it and he is so kind! The boba here is no sugar and they have no sugar milk options too. It's a perfect place for my dietary needs!
ANDREW! This guy was an employee that would be able to run the whole show off of his great attitude, humble advice, and positive outlook. I went to Boba Loca for the first time and upon walking in he kindly greeted me and went through options and samplings of what id like and put together a drink for me. Non dairy and sweet. The brown sugar non dairy milk tea. It was amazing. He has been the best employee ive met at any boba place and im definetely coming back! Theres seating and the ambiance is all around very laid back and relaxing. Check this place out you wint be dissapointed!
My experience here always felt crowded. I only came here about 4 or 5 times because when I went there (not to many boba shops in Burbank) 8 years ago was only because there was no variety of boba shops. I always orders honeydew slush. The boba was just okay. I remember it being very dusty inside and drawings all over the walls. The fact that it's still around in 2023 is a good sign.Solid 3 stars.
