One of the reviews described this place as feeling like “home as soon as you step in”and I couldn’t agree more. Being in Stephanie’s presence feels like you’re standing under the warmth of the sun — and I’m not even being hyperbolic, her energy really is that nurturing!So I think that’s the secret behind how tasty and hearty her food is. I went into wanting a standard vegan bagel which they have but Stephanie casually mentioned they also serve vegan grilled cheese with vegan tomato soup (not knowing that my soul’s comfort food are those very two things). I went for it, and my life has not been the same since lol. It’s your standard tomato basil soup and vegan grilled cheese, but I swear something about it makes me feel like my mom made it and anything my mom makes always makes me feel better — that’s how I feel after eating Stephanie’s tomato soup. I just feel comforted in a really deep way, and I want to bless the hand that has served me this comfort — that’s how you know you’ve been served good food.Thank you Stephanie for providing home cooked vegan meals to us vegans far away from home ?

Sweetest women tubs the shop and really prioritizes making it a community coffee shop and always supporting the community! Great coffee and pastries and always feel better after going. The reviews about a cr*ck head are all lies by someone out to get her.

The best cafe in Bushwick. Stephanie is so sweet and makes all the food with so much love, you can taste it. I went every single day for breakfast. Will be coming back every time I come to New York.

When you walk in it’s like going to an old friends house. It’s warm and welcoming Jeva cafe is a place that make you feel at home. The menu is very unique compared to other coffee shops I recommend you try the spicy latte.
