Walter’s Bar & Grill - Bristol

Nice quiet restaurant with comfortable ambience. The food is simply good, not extraordinary neither poor. The service was quite slow that night although they did offer the first course of the meal to apologise for the situation. The staff was very friendly.

Walters bar and grill was an attractive setting with good food and great service. We were having a meal prior to attending the theatre it made for a special evening, celebrating a 70th birthday.

Disappointing. Wine not chilled. Waiter did not seem to understand white wine should be chilled. Food v average. No one else there. Very expensive for what it was. We should have eaten elsewhere. Which we did on the next night of our stay in Bristol when we ate 100% better meal and spent 50% less! Would not eat here again.

The staff at this restaurant are extremely welcoming, but the food took quite a while to be served. Some of the dishes were quite expensive, such as the sea bass with just a side of salad costing £18 and only consisting of two small fillets. However, the flavors of the dishes were pleasant overall. I would suggest this restaurant for couples celebrating a special occasion.

We made a simple reservation for a table at this restaurant, but unfortunately couldn't secure our preferred time of 7pm so we settled for 6:45. When we arrived, we were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty and it stayed that way all evening. The decor was elegant, but the music was too poppy for our taste. The food was okay, but portions were small and prices were high. We ended up paying the 12% service charge only because the staff was pleasant, as there were no other reasons to justify it.
