Cafe Monella - Brighton and Hove

I had my car in for repairs at Portslade Panelworks which gave me some free time. The barber next door suggested Cafe Monella. The food was delicious and the owner was very welcoming. We had a great conversation. If I am in the area again, I will definitely be returning to Cafe Monella.

If you, especially if you are with your family, need a space to stop, have some food and chat away to your heart's content. You will not find another more welcoming cafe in this area than the Cafe Monella. The staff are chilled out. The food is healthy, cooked quickly and well prepared. Esoteric art covers the walls and the music is lo-fi and relaxed. My only complaint is that they have not franchised their business, move over Costa and Starbucks....I want another Monella near where I live.

Cafe is located about eight to ten minutes walk north east of Aldrington Rly Station near to Sackville Road. I had a coffee only, which was reasonably good. The staff are welcoming. I ate no food, but the breakfasts smelt appetising and the diners said that they found them good. Customers order at the counter and the food is brought to the tables by the staff. There are some long wooden tables benches outside on decking at the back. The men;s toilet was clean when I used it.
