I was surprised how delicious the baquette was. my partner had the chicken fillet sandwich, very large, so he had to eat it with a fork and a knife. it had several large breast portions and was excellently cooked, not dry, and had a delicious sauce. also the Brioche chicken where he was served was very good. the chef is really proud of all the aspekte of the kitchen. for dessert we had the vanille ice cream with butterscotch sauce and also butter bananas, which was also delicious, especially because the butterscotch sauce tasted like butterscotch, which is often difficult to find. the prices were great for the amount of food they get. we were full and happy and the bill was reasonable. very friendly and attentive service, even if the restaurant was busy. we ate at some other popular places along the main tow in the next nights and those who only do not compare foods in portions or tastes or also the others have the efficient service. we would eat every night in leif co. highly recommended.
Bright Chalet was the perfect place for a spring cycling getaway. I can’t recommend the stay highly enough. Great value for money and the buffet breakfast and dinner are cooked by a chef. So much variety and incredibly good food. Would definitely stay again. Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 4
Noteworthy details: We booked 2 rooms at the venue a year ago and despite advertising of a bar and restaurant we were told after check in and paying, facility closed as chef too tired as a result of festival. Also configuration of on of the rooms of 2 single beds separate, upon arrival 2 beds joined despite previous notice. A year later we thought to give it another go at a different time of year. Again not only had standard of breakfast offering reduced, and paying a higher price than others $170 per room, the bar and restaurant were again closed. While staff initially okay, owners were gruff when we tried to have 70th birthday quite drink between 5 family members inside, as it was below 16 degrees outside at 9.00 pm. Ruined my husbands birthday. When booking again, we had requested three rooms in a row on ground floor near to each other, two that we had booked previously, in near proximty. We were never phoned back to say this was not possible. upon arriving one room upstairs in a family room with a bathroom fit for 1 person only, other rooms spread. Don't bring a large case or yoga mat, rooms tiny, no room for stretching despite advertising to skiers, hijers and bike riders. Very guttered and will never book again given we paid more than trip advjser price! If owners tired and gruff time to sell and let new people bring hospitality to the place. Rooms tired, wire door lock latch to balcony not working, sewerage blockage smell awful in room despite flushing multiple times, had to leave wire door open, toilet roll falling off keeper as screw loose, seriously if owners not happy, guests not happy! Would not recommend, angry owner and pity staff and their son. Never again. Rooms: 2 Service: 1 Location: 2
