101 Thai House - Forster

We ate here three times during our recent stay in Forster. We found the food delicious - I particularly liked the variety of vegetables in the stirfry dishes. Service was fast and the food was fresh. The whole family enjoyed eating here.

Have enjoyed food here a couple of times. Very authentic and fresh tasting dishes. You can almost taste the freshness of each ingredient. Well worth a visit.

A Thursday evening only one table of eight ordering and mine host nodded to a table for two. We sat down. In good time we were given a menu, with not a smile or any real communication! Ok, we looked at the menu and ordered was taken, again without a smile or recognition of friendliness. First course: Sartay chicken was good, the deep fried wontons were crispy but hardly ant filling if at all. Main course was in a word .... awful. The pork dish was so salty and had no taste in it at all. The sweet and sour chicken, just awful. The floor needed a good clean and also the window sills. One would wonder how the kitchen was??

Dinner was incredible. It was my first time having Thai and I loved it. The service on the other hand was slow and the lady serving was a little reluctant to provide good service. However the food easily made up for this.

We have ordered take out from here a few times before and it's always been decent but today was a disappointment. The Penang curry, which we asked to have spicy, was super bland. It's as if they forgot to add the curry paste. The curry puffs were average and I found the pad Thai to be on the sweet side, although the noodles were done perfectly. It is a long weekend so maybe they were swamped or the head chef was away on holidays?
