August Moon - Branchburg

Our ordinary Chinese food place has been completely shut down since Covid in March, so we tried August Moon. The restaurant has been in this situation for many years, so they have to do something right. My wife and I ordered pig boy fun and pork foo young, with steamed dumplings for appetizers. The egg-foo boy came as a combination plate, so it had fried rice and an egg roll. I liked the egg foo young, and the egg roll and rice were very good. My wife didn't like the Chow fun, so I tried. It was okay, but not very delicious. The steamed dumplings were also not so good; tasteless, but to be fair, they steamed WERE, not fried. The steamed dumplings from our usual place were always very good, so our bar is quite high. Overall, the food was good, but not great, and I was satisfied enough.

August Moon is our way to the Chinese Takeout Restaurant. We like their lunch specialties that come with pork bread (or white rice) and soup. You make the BEST General Tso's Chicken and Moo Shiu Pig. Her kung pao chicken, chicken with brocolli, pork with garlic sauce, and hot and spicy beef are also very good.

Really wonderful food! Very fresh ingredients and the staff is very friendly as well! Will be going back again.

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Containers are always stuffed to the Max.. I highly recommend them
