Our waitress (don't know her name) young girl with tattoos, piercings and the best customer service we had in a very long time. She was incredibly attentive, added extra whipped cream to my sons hot cocoa. The food was great, the mood was great and our waitress was amazing! Before we were gone, we have seen her how she helped an older gentleman in finding the room very patiently to see if she should get someone.
Great cozy small town cafe. The pancakes are huge, but perfectly cooked (not burnt or gooey). The portions are great sizes and the staff is always friendly. The free To-go cups are a definite plus. Ignore the crabby people's reviews, this place is the best
Cool little cafe that has an old school look and feel. Service was fast and accurate. Price I thought were reasonable. The facility was clean. Parking can be a chore if it’s busy. Nice stop and I’ll swing back when I am back in the area.
Everything we've tried here was wonderful. I can't wait to go back.
On August 20th my buddy and I were visiting Boone and this was a local recommendation. Unknowingly we walked in this quaint, roughly 30 seat diner 5 minutes before they closed. When we realized, we said we’d leave and not trouble them, however the owner and our server Sherri insisted we stay, as everyone else finished and left before 2:00pm. We both had cheeseburgers with everything and fries. The burger had a perfect, juicy cook, dressed with all the fixins’. The fries are a midway between a standard fry and a shoestring-crisp, salted perfectly. To top off the visit, Sherri sang Freddy Fender’s Wasted Days and Wasted Nights, and we felt like we were in a family member’s kitchen, not a joint we walked into 5 minutes before closing. The next day on the 21st I brought my wife and sister-in-law back from Grimes and they had cheeseburgers and I had to try the tenderloin. Hands down the best seasoned and perfectly breaded one I’ve ever had. They hand pound and bread the loin to really, perfection. While I was marveling and mouth watering over the menu, Sherri brought me a sample of their homemade gravy with roast beef, then returned with a sample of their scratch mashed potatoes. If you have a sweet tooth, they have a variety of pies made by a sweet elderly lady who uses real lard in her pie crusts. We split a peach pie that was divine, for real. I am in my 50’s and it took me straight back to my grandmother’s kitchen as a boy. This place is full of sincere good ol’ small town hospitality and the very best in eats. Good luck deciding when you see the menu.
