Contribuiți la feedbackI had a fantastic meal years ago, with very good food and super wine in the charming location. So I suggested the place for dinner to a group of colleagues. I hadn't realised that the management and cook had changed. We had a medium to poor quality meal for a high price. The antipasto was more than acceptable, but the main course was tasteless, the meat was dry and wrongly cooked, the dessert quite standard as you can have from a supermarket. Wine was average and not worth the price. Super high bill. Not recommendable. Never again.
The best things first: the staff and patron were very friendly and the good mood pervaded our lunchtime. The Schlosshotel Kommende 's location and buildings offer huge 'special treat ' potential. By contrast, here are things that could be improved: 1. The signage, including car parking, is poor. (There is sufficient unsigned space in the courtyard adjacent to the restaurant) 2. The interior space is cramped and the decor very old fashioned more Gelsenkirchener Baroque than stylish contemporary Italian 3. There were serviettes missing from our laid table 4. My starter (vitello tonnato) was OK in taste but poorly presented. By contrast, my main dish (salmon with vegetables) was over cooked: the fish was dry and the vegetables tired. Our dining companions who 'd eaten here before said it was clearly 'chef 's day off ' as their previous eating experience had been much better. Also, the simple pasta al pomodoro being served at the adjacent table to the patron and his family looked, and smelled, both more authentic and tasty 5. Some discreet (almost inaudible) Italian music (Vivaldi for example) would underscore the Italian theme as well as adding a little elegance. Bottom line: huge potential, poorly exploited based on this experience. Would, however, give the restaurant a second chance preferably on chef 's night in since the welcome was so warm. The waiting period on a Sunday afternoon until the appetizer was 1.5 hours and was founded with two confirmations in the house. to the main dish passed another 45 minutes. even though four different meals had been ordered, all dishes had identical supplements; scampi were served instead of the ordered sprouts from wild caught with garlic sauce, which were already known from an appetizer. the price was retained wordless. the quality of the courts was at best on average and in no way justified the prices. the kitchen was obviously completely overwhelmed and in no way prepared for the guests' income caused by the two special events. we have dispensed with a dessert or coffee, so we have not to wait again endlessly. we will not visit the restaurant la tourelle, where we were to be hosted several times in the past, nor recommend it again.
Because of this, I was expecting more of this locality.Initiated with dust-covered window benches and a glass, which probably stayed on the window bench for a long time, via a service that was friendly but not on the tack (drinks to the main course were only offered when the main course was already served). the eating itself was measured on the trips or on the dessert we had to wait long so that for a 3-course menu (of 7 people ate but 5 ate the same main course) three full hours were needed. clearly too long.The I-Tüpfelchen: finished splash cream on the dessert - is not at all.Good - it was Christmas, and this was well occupied locally, but Christmas doesn't come from today to tomorrow.
