This is a real jewel. Set in the heart of the nursery it makes for a lovely setting. The breakfasts are heavenly made with the freshest of ingredients. The ambrosia omelette is to die for as is the breakfast unusual. Staff are very friendly and efficient as well. A little oasis....<br/
We had breakfast here. I had chicken mayo with sweet chilli sauce on rye, dad had the same but on tramazini (dad says he gives it a big 'ol 5! My rye was delicious! Lots of filling and with a splash of jalapeño sauce made it lekker! Mom had traditional breakfast and said it was good! Uncle was not very impressed with the standard of his meal (Portuguese , good but not amazing. The little cousin had French toast and bacon and said it was a winner! Aunt had savory mince on toast and said it was alright.
Nestled in the center of Heckers nursery, with an overload of O2, the atmosphere is a fantastic place to grab some breakfast in a wonderful clean environment and a welcome break from other indoor establishments.<br/ <br/ We usually go for their breakfast stack which is layers of Egg, bacon, hash browns and mushrooms. Their Cappuccinos are one of the tastiest i have had and their well priced kids menu reminds me of my childhood with items such as Toad in the Hole. there is a small play area which keeps the little ones entertained.<br/ <br/ The constancy of the meals is the only concern, sometimes outstanding and other times just OK, but never bad. Definitely a great alternative to the franchise breakfast spots in the area.
A few weeks back we treated our parents to a breakfast. This place would definitely be considered a hidden gem. North rand rd is so busy with traffic that you dont always look left or right to notice their are a variety of coffee shops hidden in the nurseries.<br/ <br/ Its situated at the back of the nursery so you get to walk through all the plants and flowers and take in the fresh air and greenery.<br/ <br/ My mom and sister had been there a few times and this was my first visit there that day. The service was a little slow but the chef had come out bringing our orders and told us that some of their deliveries were late hence the backlog in getting orders out. The food was lovely fresh and appealing to the eyes. I took the bacon potato rosti avo and egg. Dad has the usual bacon and eggs combo, my sis had the crumpet with banana and bacon and my mom took the chicken schnitzel. They have a decent variety of breakfast options and even desserts. I love my cappuccino with fresh cream (you'll see my pic) and the lemon meringue was spot on.. nice crunchy base with a tart filling and even the waffle went down well.<br/ <br/ All in all great food and nice fresh atmosphere sitting outside getting some vitamin d. There is even a small play area with a sandpit for the littleones to keep occupied.<br/ <br/
