Carmela's - Bloomington

This charming little restaurant is perfect for breakfast or brunch. The menu is just the right size, offering generous portions at reasonable prices. I absolutely loved the Chilaquiles and was also pleased with the great variety of omelettes available. The attentive service from our waiter really impressed me as well.

Great service, delicious food, reasonable prices. I had the Lomo Burrito with the red mole while my wife had the ham and the pig Cuban sandwich. Both were great. I'm sorry people are eating near Jimmy Johns.

The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we were pleased with most of our choices, except for the beef dish that was a bit underwhelming. However, the gyro omelette and the gyro chicken were both outstanding. The food was served hot and flavorful, aside from the carrot dish that fell flat. We arrived with a large group but were seated quickly, and the service was both friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was comfortable, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. It was also convenient to find parking in the back and easy to access the restaurant. We’ll definitely be returning!

If you are looking for a really delicious breakfast with a Hispanic flair, Carmela is definitely the place for you. My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was some of the best in Bloomington/Normal! I hope they are in business for a long time so that we can continue to enjoy their amazing food!!

This is without a doubt my favorite breakfast spot in Bloomington. The service is consistently excellent, the food is outstanding, and it's the only place around that offers Mexican breakfast options. I've never had to wait for a table, and while the parking lot is a bit small, there is ample seating inside. I absolutely adore this place!
