Milano - Birmingham

Went for a meal prior to theatre. Our order was taken at 5:26, meal arrived at 6:21. An hour for two pizzas and two side salads. In fact... Would they have even noticed if we hadn't asked where our meal was? The waiter that had served us appeared not to be interested and a colleague had to sort us out. Not even the offer of a free coffee while we waited. I asked for a reduction when I Paid and the waitress just shrugged and appeared to pretend she didn't know what I meant. We all make mistakes but good customer service helps to overcome them and would have left customers feeling staff had tried. We came away feeling they didn't care. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely room, service was fine and starters were good. But the main courses were awful. Rib eye steak was 3mm thick so had to be cooked well done, though we ordered medium rare. Veal 'cutlet ' was 3 pieces of boneless schnitzel, dry and tasteless. I couldn 't eat it, though the neapolitan pasta it came with was tasty.

It was very busy as it was Saturday evening. The food was excellent quality. Very reasonable prices and good service. We would return if we visit Birmingham again sometime.

Picked this restaurant purely by chance before a theatre show at the Hippodrome. We hadn't booked but it wasn't a problem, place was quiet but filled up within half an hour with other theatre goers. Friendly service and didn't have to wait long as ordered from the theatre specials menu. Both of us had bruschetta to start, very fresh and tasty. followed by two pasta dishes, both generous portions and delicious. Didn't have room for dessert. Not the cheapest, but very impressed.
