Contribuiți la feedbackWe went there to watch the Champions League Semi-final match. We reserved a table but also went earlier to enjoy beer and have the pre-match atmosphere etc. When we arrived there, we learned that our reserved tables were bar chairs since all tables were booked. Guess for whom these tables are reserved? FIFA museum employees and some privileged guests! No surprise! FIFA 's attitude is everywhere even in a publicly open bar! And they had their own Pre-Match analysis and didn 't show any pre-match warming broadcasting etc. We were listening music and nothing about the match at all until they start their show! Even during the break, they didn 't show, for example, half-time statistics of the match but we had to listen to their 'Match Analysis ! It was a big disappointment (not even mentioning how many chairs they put later inside and increased the capacity of the area booked by privileged people and many more). In short: I don 't suggest any football fans go there.
I have been in the bar to meet some friends for an apéro to go to a party afterwards. Service was so slow and ignoring me and some others arriving so we decided to leave without having an order. Otherwise the bar itself with the big screens is quite cool and there's not many in Zurich like this...
Having arrived in Zurich last Friday, Saturday was my first full day to experience the city. As the Liverpool match was due to air at 1.30pm, I decided to go to the above bar, with the plans to visit the FIFA Museum straight afterwards. I must state, that the waitress who served me on the day, was lovely. However once the match kicked off, another employee “Darran 100” started to openly state his dislike towards LFC to different customers in the bar. I thought this was odd, given he was supposed to be working, however appreciate that when it comes to football, everyone has a difference in opinion. What I do not appreciate however, is the same staff member referring to all Liverpudlians (inclusive of myself) as “dirty scousers”. This comment was made when Fulham scored their first goal. Being a single girl in a new city, I decided not to say anything, but had to physically bite my tongue and take myself out of the bar at half time to distract myself. During the second half “Darran 100”, a FIFA employee, started mocking the Liverpool accent. I have lived in Liverpool for 31 years, I understand the differences in thoughts and opinions when it comes to football, however for a staff member (of FIFA) to refer to us as “dirty scousers” and MOCK the accent is nothing short of disgusting. At this point I asked said employee if he was ok? He confirmed he was. I asked if he worked in the FIFA Sports Bar, he confirmed he did. I then advised him that whilst working, and representing the FIFA brand, he absolutely NOT make such comments in front of customers. I was absolutely disgusted. This was my first impression not only of Zurich, but of the FIFA establishment in Zurich. This experience left such a sour taste in my mouth, I cut my trip short and left Switzerland the next day. I have since logged a complaint.
Great atmosphere, great selection of food and beverages. This place would be my dream man cave if I could build it. They play various matches on several TVs. The local beer was tasty, the fries were tasty and the service was excellent. My daughter and I stopped here after our museum visit. As it was my birthday, we decided to stay for a few beer and watch some football. It felt very welcoming and very comfortable. The bar was clean and bright.
First good news: good drink in a particular location with main sport events running all the way on many luminous screens, all in comfortable. It’s a pity the service doesn’t fit at all the level of all this. The price of my drink was communicated in verbal manner, I’d rather say: shouted.... and there was no receipt: beside evident lack of discretion one has the right to receive a bill. There was none...
