Rustico Neapolitan (bexhill)

We visited Rustico Bexhill for an early dinner before going to the De La Warr for a show. A friend had booked in advance but when we arrived the booking hadn't been properly recorded. We stood and waited for a while for them to rearrange chairs and tables. They were accommodating but we felt as welcome as a fart at a funeral. Most of my friends were happy with their pizzas but I had the lasagna which was not good, it tasted like a microwave meal. They were busy (hence the very visible issue with them squeezing us in! . We waited for a long time to finally pay the bill when we really wanted to leave. All in all disappointing. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We ordered two Rustico pizzas, one gluten free. Both arrived quickly, fully topped, delicious doughy gluten free base. I've never tasted a GF base like it. One side salad was enough to share. Two Italian beers completed our meal. Would definitely visit more often if we were local. Both of the young men who served us were polite and friendly. Dietary restrictions: Pizzas can be made GF on request, there were some other GF options on the menu too. Menu was labelled with Veg options.
