My friend and I decided to give the restaurant a try. We went on a weekday at about 1:00 The outdoor waterfall was nice and gave us high hopes the food would be good. We were greeted by an elderly gentleman who was quite friendly. The atmosphere was Hispanic, with bold colors of blue, yellow, red, and green. Traditional Mexican artwork on the walls. Brick-colored tiled floor. There were a few tables occupied by construction men. I ordered an Asada taco bowl. My friend ordered chili Verde. My bowl lacked seasoning. Seriously, it was like the chef forgot to add any spice at all! My friend said the chili Verde was ok, but wouldn't order it again. At the end of our meal, I needed to use the restroom. I walked into the women's room took one look and almost gagged. I hurried back to the table, paid our bill, and left. We both left a good tip as the waiter was great. Don't think I'll be back.
The food was good, decent size portions, prices were average for a cantina style restaurant. The booths were tucked into the back for a little extra privacy than most booths. Service was excellent, didn't have to wait to find out server. They also have a buffet at certain times. Didn't try the buffet we just missed it but it looked good.
La Mina Catina food is the best, I order often on instacart, but this time I was already out and about so I drove to their restaurants to get an order to go. The restaurants is very nice as was the employee, I didn't have along wait at all. I order the 3 plate combo got the shredded beef taco which I love as well as a cheese enchilada and chili relleno. those are my favorite to get there. They are so delicious.
Great omlettes to rico menudo. Great food and servers with great customer service.
