Pastelaria Balcão Do Marquês - Lisboa

This was the first place we ate at in Lisbon. As we had a morning arrival our room at the hotel wasn’t ready and they suggested we go and enjoy a leisurely lunch. We weren’t really that hungry so decided to explore the immediate neighbourhood around our hotel, including locating nearby restaurants for future meals. Moving south from our hotel the HF Fenix Urban we soon discovered a clump of restaurants on a quiet side street off of Av. Duc de Louie. At the corner was what looked like an inviting café, not too crowded and with a small patio. This was Pastelaria Tradicional Balcão do Marquês and we decided it looked like a good place to try a small snack and drink at. We were quickly seated at the tiny patio and offered menus. My wife settled for an enormous croissant and a juice while I decided to have my first pasta del nata in Lisbon. I washed it down with my first Portuguese beer in the country I’d tried some at home as part of my pre trip research) as to the extremely unseasonable hot weather. They’d be my first in the country but by no means my last. The food and drink were excellent and the service fast and friendly. This wouldn’t be our last visit to Pastelaria Tradicional Balcão do Marquês. As it was close by the hotel and near to a few restaurants we dined at later in the week, it became a sort of after dinner desert stop including grabbing some pasta del natas for takeout to enjoy later.

Came here twice and had mixed omelette and fries for 7 euros. Plenty to eat. Good food. Had 2 large glasses of delicious white wine too. Service was very good. Gets very busy at times and the staff work very hard. Closes at 9 pm.

Great place overall, wonderful service. we ordered a chocolate cake and a pastness of nata with som coffee. everything was great.

Fui a pastelaria às 11/01/23, por volta das 19:00. Eu fui atendida por uma senhora muito agradável, eu pedi 3 cremes, mas ela me disse que eu deveria tomar uma caixa com 4, porque eu estava quente. Isso é uma grande dica, porque comi três atrás do outro, e o quarto que minha esposa comeu e cuidou daqueles que queriam mais, ahahahahaha. Muito obrigado, excelente creme, o melhor da vida!

Sulla relazione di un collega, siamo andati a fare colazione in questo bar / pasticceria per due giorni sotto. I pastais de nata sono molto buoni, mi è piaciuto anche il servizio caffè e i prezzi sono contenuti. Per coloro che sono nelle Marche de pombal e dintorni, un salto è obbligatorio.
