Contribuiți la feedbackThe bolognese was really hearty and tasty. french wobbler suppe also good. eating came within minutes of ordering, a little too fast. the first time I ever thought about it. was surprised by the limited menu. the bar really seemed to float and most people were eating there and having a good time. I can sit there next time. great to make reservations and sit in time, but eating can not compete with some of the other restaurants in the city.
We were not in time and I do not remember the prices so high (at lunch) there were 4 of us and only 1 person had a beer. 76.00 before the tipp. no appetizers, 1 rue sando, two of us had a cup chowder and half a tuna sandwich on [hidden email] everyone, the other was a caesar salat and french wobel suppe a bit high for a lunch.
I cost my time there! eating was pretty good! I look forward to trying something else next time!
Been going to the Pine Tavern for over 40 years, but it 's been a while since our last visit. We have loved it in the past but our most recent visit for my wife 's birthday was pretty underwhelming. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff and the best way to describe it is that it was dry and boring. There was not much flavor to it. Had to add salt to get some flavor. We had the fudge brownie for desert. It was more cake like than fudge like and the scoop of ice cream was tiny-too small to moisten up the full portion of the dry brownie. My rib-eye was excellent and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm, bland and the portion was tiny.
Went out for dinner with a friend who is a little hard of hearing and they seated us in a private booth-like area honoring my request for a quiet spot when I made my reservation. Everything was tasty, served in a timely and friendly manner and our server Paul was very nice and knowledgable! He even brought me a dessert on the house with a candle in it for my birthday.
