Barbazul - Belo Horizonte

Great food and really good service in this local bar and restaurant. They have won various awards in recent years, and many of the award-winning dishes are the menu. We tried pork with onion rings and a pineapple grill sauce that was delicious. Caipirinhas are also cheap and strong. We have also tried the tropeiro, a traditional dish of Minas Gerais, good sampling when you try local fare. Be warned, the portions are incredibly generous, so if you're eating alone or have a little appetite keep this in mind.
