I am so jealous of the residents of Bellingham because Ginger Boat is a gem of a restaurant that I wish I could transport to my hometown. The food is delicious, the portions are big, and the service is world-class. The young woman who helped us was extremely friendly and communicative as she set clear expectations that the restaurant was out of wontons for the day before we decided on our food order. Even though this restaurant is not a full-service establishment, she was extremely attentive when we were needing water or more tea. Was just passing through and happened upon this place. It was amazing. The food is good but beyond that, the vibe is great. The decorated the restaurant beautifully, I felt as if I was in a Japanese garden! And better yet the staff was super proactive and kind. I always come here with my 2 daughters because it is thier favorite place to eat at. They love the Teryaki Chicken and the pho. It is always our go to. Pretty decent teriyaki and yakisoba! Not a fan of their sushi. It was pretty dull and not fresh tasting.
