Drifter's - Bedford County

The new owners are making it clear it’s all about another dollar for them. Lots of extra charges that weren’t on the menu. Plus extra charges for the kitchens mistakes. On top of that, the food was sub par, at best. Cold fries, cold bun, overcooked burger, and hardly any of the honey/peanut butter that it’s featured for. Not an $18 burger. Most common gas stations have better boneless wings. Ranch was a necessity, but they’ll bring you some, one teaspoon at a time. The servers were great, the only positive part of our visit.

Our first impression upon walking in was very positive. Clean, inviting armosphere with friendly staff. Unfortunately, it was a terrible dining experience. While our servers were nice, they knew very little about their own menu. We had to repeat very standard requests for plates, utensils, sauces, etc. multiple times. Some of the cocktails were good, but others had seemingly little to no alcohol, which made them overpriced juice. The food took forever to come out, even though there were very few customers. It was a rainy day, so there were only a few tables inside and none outside. The food came out cold and very inconsistent. The tacos were pathetic basically a tortilla with bagged lettuce and meat/fish thrown on top. You were lucky if they remembered to add sauce to yours. Someone who appeared to be the manager came over and gave out shark tooth necklaces to the kids (nice gesture) but ignored our responses to his question of “how was everything”. They do have a kids menu, but I would not consider them to be family friendly. The entire time we were there for a 6pm dinner, the focus appeared to be on loud, rowdy shots at bar, where the majority of staff hung too. For very few customers, it was so loud that we chose to bring our kids outside in misty rain to avoid the noise while we waited for way too long for food. Would definitely not recommend and would not go again.

Food is very good for the price point. Great atmosphere

Good food. Sevice is good also. Vegetarian options: Order what you want Dietary restrictions: Will tailor your meal for you. Parking: Plenty Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with activities. Wheelchair accessibility: Two points of access.

We absolutely Loved Drifter’s! The food was amazing and it was such a hidden gem.
