Contribuiți la feedbackI would like to mention a few things. 1 we have a way to many Mexican restaurants. This is good, newly opened and work out some bends that is understandable. 2. Customer service was excellent. 3. I saw people literally get up and go because they don't like salsa or read Google reviews. I read the Google reviews, but I wanted to see for myself. 4. Food was good! Platinum of food could be better. 5. Salsa consistency needs some work. 5. Clean restaurant and no waiting! Absolutely try!!
Nice greeting. Server was pleasant when he drank orders. Extensive menu. We were queisidia, burrito supreme, enchiladas and a guacamole appetizer. The entries were excellent. Guacamole was pure and disappointing. The owner can get out to ask how everything was and addressed before we could. I asked for our input. He agreed with our proposals and we agreed with what he had already planned. I'd be happy if we weren't on the way. Try the next trip down.
I've eaten five times in Los Gallos and it's a great restaurant. All Salsas were made fresh. It was smokey, another spicy and another taste of fresh tomatoes and spices. The ducks burst with taste. Last time we went there, one of us had a Carnitas dish that was exceptionally delicious. I had shrimp tacos and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My daughter had several great vegetarian choices (I don't remember what she ended, but she really liked it). We usually don't get dessert, but we decided to share 1 order of flan. OMG. It was the best flan I ever had! I understand that the place was only open 1 month and that the owner had to get rid of some badly functioning workers who post tons of negative reviews despite him. That's really great!
It's okay, I thought it was better because it just opened a few weeks ago. Service could be better, and there is a fly flying around.. Not hygienic.
If your looking for Mexican food that Is palatable look else where. In a small town like Beaufort good restaurants can be hard to find. Were are lucky to have an abundance of great Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately los gallos missed the mark. Staff was defiantly sub par our waiter was trying her best but you could see that she was in anguish with the food coming from the kitchen. The salsa resembles pizza sauce with a bite. The tortilla chips had a odor of burnt oil and tasted just as bad. Which meant that any fried food we ordered was also gonna taste the same. Rice was over cooked and dry with beans that tasted like they came out of a off brand can. All the meat was bland with little seasoning. One item we ordered the burrito Mexicano had under cooked veggies and when we addressed it with the manager he was upset that we had a simple complaint. los gallos has a long way to go if they want to stick around.
