Bajadita - Bayonne

Had a pleasant evening meal here with my wife and two young children. The setting and atmosphere was lovely and the food was decent enough. The service could be improved my and my wife's mains were served at least 10 minutes before the kids' meals were served, and we weren't asked whether we were ok for more drinks during our meal.

Best food we have had in France. Cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. Lamb was delicious, wine too and a lovely atmosphere. The young lady who served us was extremely helpful and attentive which was very much appreciated. Returning next week on our tour back to the UK! Many thanks.

We booked dinner here on the basis it was the top rated restaurant open on a Sunday night. It is well located next to the old town on the riverbank and has outdoor seating overlooking the water (or at least the road next to the water). I had the duck, asked to be cooked so that it wasn’t **** though when it came it was still a bit ****, had they let it stand a bit longer it would have been fine. It was a very large duck breast and came with chips, nothing else! A bit of sauce or a vegetable might have been appropriate but alas nothing. At the end of the day it was fine, nothing great but nothing particularly bad if you forgive the blood. Price wasn’t horrendous but on the steep side for what it was.
