Rouses Market - Baton Rouge

If I could give one star I would. Lines are so long while staff walks around doing nothing even manager. No self checkout and no express lines. You wait in line til the middle of produce and all 3 lines have about 10 people. Green hair Employees and all others could care less.

Rouses has the best shrimp on ice….I caught catfish out the Mississippi with it. Just how they like it….kinda smelly

Great selection of items. Fresh sushi, baked goods and delicious sections.

Everything is wonderful ... Except a few things , the produce had a lot of empty areas , prices missing and going rotten produce .. the employees are chatty to each other and not paying attention to customers behind them . And empty looking shelves . the cashier girl was not friendly. Black girl with no eye contact or communication. Non speaking no hello or thank you .. we will be sure to avoid these people and areas till things look better .

Great parking, store is nice and clean, super close to my house, decent selection of everything I went there for. Beat the New Orleans stores without a doubt. P.S. check the zucchini and okra in the glass..they were pretty bad off Cheers!
