Jovi's Tacos - Baton Rouge

I really enjoyed EVERYTHING about this place!! The drinks and food was so delicious I can see myself becoming a regular lol.

So, I usually don’t do this, but what happened tonight felt like it could’ve been a great opportunity for humanity. I am visiting Baton Rouge and I was waiting for my little cousin outside of her place of employment in the parking lot of Jovi’s. She was coming out any minute. I have a health condition that makes me have to pee (it’s really annoying and I try very hard not to make it the problem of other people). Anyway, I’m waiting and needing to pee, so I finally decided to go into the neighboring establishment that I figured would have a restroom, which happened to be Jovi’s. My boyfriend accompanied me inside. Upon walking in, I didn’t want to loudly request to use the restroom as there were a few people dining. I tried to meet the host/server as he was gathering menus to ask him for permission. He said I could use the bathroom, so I went and knocked and waited then knocked again. The door was cracked so I pushed it open and two girls were at the sink so I apologized and waited outside the hall to give them space. One of the workers approached me with a card reader, telling me I couldn’t use the restroom unless I bought something. I was a little desperate and in pain from having to pee so I almost just gave him my debit card, but my boyfriend was so disgusted by the lack of humanity that he interjected. Fortunately, my cousin was ready by the time I returned outside and we found a place for me to pee. I understand that places of business don’t owe it to people to allow them to use the restroom, I just found it really gross the way those events transpired.

Jovi’s was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Will definitely recommend and go back there.
