Blacksmiths Arms - Barnard Castle

The charming little pub had delicious pizza topped with melty vegan cheese.

I recently visited Barnard Castle and stopped by the Forging Army after a long walk. I was informed that they did not have vegan cheese but they were willing to accommodate. They mentioned that they had stopped purchasing vegan cheese due to lack of demand, but they made me a cheeseless pizza. It was not the greatest, but they assured me that if they knew in advance, they could have prepared something much better. The restaurant has a lovely beer garden, so it's best to call ahead and make a reservation if you plan on visiting.
