Paddy's Irish Pub - Bar Harbor

No idea why Paddys has only 3.5 stats. One of the best Reubens I've ever had, (and I've tried Reubens from NYC to LA) along with excellent rustic Irish soup. Kevin our server was on point with his whiskey pairing and attentive without being intrusive. We're looking forward to our next dinner at Paddys.

I was going to give this place five stars, but they ruined a beautiful day up in Bar Harbor. Wanted to sit down at the bar with my best girl Lucy. Wanted to order my go to drink the Irish car bomb. And was told that I couldn't do it. The bar tender said that the word Irish cob bomb is insulting. For full disclosure I'm Irish. If I want to order an Irish car bomb give me a bump and Irish car bomb. You see who has made the rules but you can't order an Irish car bomb obviously voted for Joe Biden. Do you see the Irish on sensitive flowers. And can handle some words. Good thing I didn't order my second favorite drink the black Cadillac.

Lobster crab dip, fish and chips, and French onion soup along with some Black and Tans where our choices and all where fabulous. In fact the fish and chips might be top 5 for me. Great view and good service .. Bar Harbor has lots of choices and we choose well eating here!

Had a couple beers and their Duck Poutine Fries. They were fantastic and the service was good. One of the few places with a water view if you are lucky enough to sit outside which we were.

I was going to rate a 4 until I visited the rest room. It was pretty bad. Got me wondering about the cleanliness of the kitchen and other dark corners. Hubby loved his corn beef sandwich. My fried fish sandwich was ok. Fries were delicious. Wonderful view overlooking the harbor.
