The Yard - Baltimore

The food was good and hot. The selection was a little limited, but what they did, they did well. The service was a tad slow, the waiter was overwhelmed with the number of diners. He was fabulous, just had too many tables.

We had both breakfast and dinner at The Yard and enjoyed both meals. It was the weekend of the Ravens playoff game and the hotel was sold out so The Yard was very busy for dinner before the game. We arrived a little early for our reservation but a table was waiting for us and we were seated ahead of our reservation time. The food (crab cake sandwich and turkey BLT) was very good and the service was good despite the large crowd. Breakfast the next morning was not as busy but still steady. My wife enjoyed the buffet while I enjoyed the a la carte waffle and bacon that I ordered. The service was once again good. We liked The Yard so much that we decided it would give us a reason to stay at the hotel again in the future when visiting Baltimore.

Poor service, bland food and had to wait on a table for which I had a reservation. That was my first and last time eating at the Yard.

It wasn’t busy but the food took over 40 minutes to get to the table. Not sure if I’m just not from there and that’s normal, but staff was passive about it and didn’t seem to mind if we came back or not.

Our server was nice, a little busy and overwhelmed. She brought starters but forgot our drinks from the bar twice. The food was hit or miss. The crab soup and mussels were very good. The crab pretzel was below average. The drinks were good. Just an ok experience.
