No fake cheese or meat, only handmade crust with baked in pesto, organic tomatoes and many other types of vegetables and unusual toppings such as coconut sponge. No two pizzas will be the same because the supply of fresh vegetables can vary and the pizza manufacturer is a food artist. They sell other non-veg items, but if the demand for vegan options increases, they will probably listen to suggestions. Try the cocoa drink. They ferment and cook local cocoa beans and make a drink with only water that is incredible. Only cocoa and water. Very recommended. Updated by previous review on 2022-02-01
I would have given this place 5 stars if I was able to on Happy Cow (only 5 stars for veg restaurants). This is probably one of the most flavoursome pizzas I’ve ever eaten, made with beautiful ingredients, each one adding a distinct twist. The crust was perfect and stuffed with ‘pesto’ which was a unique flavour within its own right. Highly recommended! Updated from previous review on 2022-10-07
Very interesting place. A bit of a thrift shop vibe, nothing like a restaurant. But don’t let the place fool you, here is someone creating the most interesting pizza one’s ever had. Sourdough pizza with some (charred? veggies from the oven, then loaded with salad, herbs, veggies, flowers and more. A true explosion of different tastes that come together perfectly. This was for sure not just a bunch of veggies, but a thoughtful creation! Probably the best pizza I’ve had in life! …and a very nice conversation with the Danish owner to make the experience complete. This is a must when you are in Boquete!
The vegan Pizza was delicious and one was more than enough for two people. We also couldn't resist and tried the pastel which is not vegan (homemade chocolate, cream cheese and condensed milk) but also tasted great.
Henrik is the owner and chef of this place and we went out of his way to prepare some vegan dishes for me. He made a vegan pizza, a vegan noodles with vegetables dish and a vegan sandwich for me and they were all delicious! Of course it'd be better if the restaurant was fully vegan but considering the local market that is not economically viable. This place has been open for less than a year and is still being developed. This is shown in the current layout of the place which can be improved. Also the seating is to be improved which Henrik acknowledged but that comes with the place still being relatively new. All in all, the food was delicious every time I went there and that is what is most important.
