Im Niedersächsischer Hof

Christmas celebration 2015 in the circle of colleagues. And as every year was the question where this time. Fortunately, we have a not enviable boss and we can plan this event in the higher gastronomy industry. Some restaurants were discussed, this year the election was made to a colleague proposal, it should be the Niedersächsische Hof in Bad Bentheim's Gildehaus district. Around the corner, so to speak, we could switch from the desk to the dining table without great effort. At 7 p.m. I met my wife with us, who celebrated the appendix, and for the first time in my life came the Lower Saxony court. Although known and with good reputation in the county, I had never been there. For my Dutch colleague, the Niedersächsische Hof is preferred accommodation when it comes to us. The hotel parking lot was impressively filled tonight. We only have a parking lot with some trouble. Not the only Christmas party tonight, as we suspected. The hotel is a rebuilt former farm located on the southern slope of the Bentheimer Hochzug, quietly between forest and meadows. The guest room is located in the former tenne (Diele) of the farm. As from the outside, the old stable bars determine the atmosphere. I was very positively surprised tonight and I was increasingly looking forward to the evening. The service received my wife and me and led us to the table for us. I was sure we hadn't made a wrong choice. We took place at an extremely perfect and lovingly covered table. There was the first round, we had time to get caught by the very flourishing and accepting ambience and at the same time to determine that we were not the last time! We both felt very comfortable. The service was very professional from the start. This increases the anticipation of food. With the kitchen of the Niedersächsischen Hof, the colleague had a solid 7-course menu. On the table, the planned food sequence was ordered in a card, on the left side of the leaf the wines of the wine tasting. Before starting the menu, the question of the service to evtl. Incompatibility or special requests that were generally rejected. So we could start in the menu with a champagne-based home cocktail, bitterly tasted with a very herbal wormwood. The menu consisted of the following courses: Lachstartar on Pumpernickel A fresh start to the menu, the well lubricated planner was served on a stuffed pumper nickel plate. Good! Salad with scampi A well decorated salad was served with fried sampi. This band fell slightly from the others in quality. Through the bank, all colleagues in a panade did not find such tasty Sampi. It was little to find from the fresh sea creature. Perhuhnessence Very good. Aromaticly decorated boulevard, equipped with a piece of mushroom. The Schwäbin on my side was satisfied, but also all the northern lights. The Risotto was one of the best ingredients of the menu. I still bite what the well decorated vegetable risotto has colored black. Unfortunately, I didn't photograph this band and I can't take care of it. Nevertheless, along with the fried on the skin a very good walk. Beef fillet tour with market vegetables and potato gratin At the same quality level the beef fillet. Perfect medium roasted, well ripened and delicate. Beef must be served. ****! Good supplements offer a pleasure. Deer roast from the Bentheim forest with winter vegetables and swamp noodles The deer was tastefully prepared for the table, even here extremely delicate in consistency. A very good sauce made the roast with the matching winter vegetables and the Schupfnudeln a good hearty menu. Rumfruit with cinnamon poppy Parfait The dessert in the 7th Gang was a creamy parfait with rums. That was very good at Advent. A beautiful conclusion of an unexpectedly good menu! I constantly saw happy and happy colleagues. The price includes a wine tasting. Grauburgunder from Baden Oberbergener Bass Violin JG 2014 Winzergenossenschaft Oberbergen Total of the weakest wine of this wine accompaniment. Too young and green. There was no total combation and melting of a Grauburgunder. Pinot Blanc from the Mosel Haus Klosterberg JG 2013 WG Markus Molitor Fein, without further comment, a very good Weissburgunder! That had everything that was missing from the GB above. Schwarzriesling from Württemberg JG 2013 Graf Neippberg This black giant had to be drowned, the first swallow could not reveal the wine. He seemed a little flat. But after a little longer opening time it was still possible! 2010 Salice Salentino from Apulia Good Italian red wine, strong! Port wine red or white Was not explained further, I stay with the Italian. The service was all night without a mistake and a tadel. There is no reason to complain about serving dishes, refresh wines, rediscover courses or information about dishes. Good. All areas of the house were well maintained and clean. The toilets move with their tile decoration in the 70s, but they are very well maintained and perfectly clean. Conclusion: The Lower Saxony court has left a very good impression. With my wife it is firmly agreed that we will come back to eat a la carte and in the very well sorted wine card. We do this in summer so that we can enjoy the terrace. Very close to the perfect! I give 4.5 points. The menu was calculated for 96 EUR per person. Includes all wines, regardless of the quantity of bottles opened (and there were few).

We were only one night during a bike tour here, but the kindness of the staff and cleanliness throughout the house has been absolutely positive. Breakfast has been lovingly prepared and has left nothing to be desired with us. We would return here at any time and recommend the Niedersächsische Hof!
