Armazém Da Alfândega - Aveiro

The dishes are typical Portuguese food reinvented for modern cuisine. The rice of the squid was salty, but otherwise everything was great. It was a bit pricy.

Stunned over this place after we get away from restaurante o bairro. we were so glad we did. really great meal. delicious and thoughtful dishes, prepared with carefree. service was nice.

Beautiful, slightly hipster, place that opened up in January 2017. runs many Portuguese classics (like pica pau) on modern and delicious wise and interesting international dishes (e.g. burger) always with a surprise touch. in any case a great new place to visit. they should reserve their table in advance, because the restaurant is only small and cozy. the super friendly staff will be happy to help them, I am sure!

Congenial and very helpful staff. Unique, delicious, and satisfying dishes. Aveiro has a high level of cuisine, but try this when other restaurants start to seem too similar. We had Miso soup, and tempura appetizers, and duck and pork mains.

I went to dinner with my wife and daughter. For some time now, being from the center of Aveiro, I had been curious to try the cuisine of Armazém da Alfândega. There was no chance before the pandemic, it was now. I'm just saying, what I've been putting off. A menu with a strong Japanese component, but tailored to the Mediterranean palate... wonderful and with everything made from scratch. From starters to main course and a fabulous dessert, everything was really good. I paid €89 for all three, but it was worth every penny. I would like to leave a word of appreciation to the lady who attended us, but I did not remember to question the name, who is the owner of a unique friendliness and cordiality and who received us very well, always taking great care during dinner. I really liked it... I'll be back.
