Hyde Park Bar & Grill - Austin

Some friends and I stayed here for a few days shortly after the arrival. The weather was perfect to sit outside and relax. The staff was very attentive, helpful and fast. We chose the pancakes broken french french fries for a starter that was very tasty, but I think we should have ordered the little ones because it was difficult to finish the rest of our meals. I chose the meat, Mac and cheese and potatoes that were very satisfying. My companions had the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken they said were also great. Total great location, good food, friendly staff.

Loved my Thai pad noodles, it was the special meal for the day and it’s incredibly delicious! Also, the award winning fries is great to have. I would definitely recommend this place for grill bar. I also had avocado rolls which were baked perfectly. The price is also not too bad. One can feel full after eating a couple of items from the menu.

So thankfully my partner and I stumbled over this restaurant, especially because we just made it in time for dinner! I was surprised to see such a high-quality food and drink menu in view of its bar and barbecue. I mainly expected burgers that they have a large selection, but there are as many possibilities of quality entrees. You have a homemade Alfredo Pasta dish with gluten-free spaghetti and lentil balls that I really wanted to try, but I went for the Sriracha Shrimp with Pesto Alfredo and grilled bread and not disappointed! My partner got the Roasted Chicken with potatoes and broccoli. We also shared their house avocado fried frits and Mac n cheese as appetizers and that was also so delicious! For drinks I have a French 75 and my partner got the Reposado Old Fashion. Our server Simon was so professional and fast with all courses! He was also very helpful to make suggestions what to try and each course was fantastic. I appreciated his patience and allowed us to experience a full meal as it closed and gave us to go materials as we started to be full so that we could easily pack in. I also noticed there is a wide selection of food options for vegetarians, GF and Pescatarians like me, so that is a huge plus! This meal was the saving grace to a very long day of travel and I would definitely return!

With friends for dinner. We had no reservations, but sat fast. We had appetizers and ordered entrees. Food was delicious and service excellent. Cosy atmosphere in an old house Nice Artwork.. Parking.

Max offers excellent service and had a very pleasant personality. Morgan was also very personal and made an incredible work with my duck as the evening cook. I ordered the Bacon-Glazed Meatloaf with HP Mac Cheese and Bacon-Braised Collards. The food was wonderful! That was my second visit here, and I will definitely come back. Good work Hyde Park Bar Grill!!!!
