Contribuiți la feedbackSeems like there aren’t any good food options in Atlantic City. I was not excited to eat at a P.F. Chang’s, but it was decent. I ended up eating here twice because I was offered a comp. The first time I got mapo tofu. It was good not too salty when mixed with white rice. It wasn’t really mapo tofu though it was crispy stir friend tofu chunks with broccoli. It was good anyway. The second time I got the buddha thing. I found it to be less good than the mapo tofu. The vegetables were cut a bit large, so it wasn’t the easiest thing to eat. And the sauce was super thin and watery. The dishes were like $16 $18 and served with a choice of white or brown rice. The portions were generous. The people who work here are cool and nice. They were way under staffed the first day I went here, but the employees who were there were really hustling and making it work. They have TVs upstairs with sports games on.
As their popularity grows, the quality of the food declines. It is better to opt for a local establishment instead.
I have one caution for this restaurant: do not trust the online vegan guides that claim the vegetarian lettuce wraps are vegan, as they contain oyster sauce. When I informed the server of my vegan diet, he quickly consulted with the chef to determine which menu items would be suitable for me. Not only did they identify existing vegan options, but they also identified dishes that could be modified to be vegan. They were able to replace the oyster sauce with a vegan alternative and adjust a vegetarian entree to make it vegan. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful.
I was excited to try out this restaurant, as I love Chinese food and knew they had a variety of vegetable options. However, I am gluten-free, allergic to shellfish, and avoid tofu and soy. Unfortunately, I was told that there was nothing on the menu that I could have. The chef and waitress were not accommodating or helpful, and I was simply told to go somewhere else for dinner. I requested stir-fried vegetables and rice, but was informed that all the sauces contained oyster. In the end, I ended up with plain steamed broccoli and rice, which left me feeling extremely disappointed, especially considering the cost. I was surprised by the lack of assistance and creativity from the staff, and will not be returning to this restaurant.
My fellow vegans, Don 't even bother to go to this restaurant. I have heard that the chain offers vegan options, however when I asked my server, and she talked to the chef I was told that they couldn 't guarantee that anything on the menu was vegan except for the harvest curry., or that they could make me a Buddha Platter, steamed without any sauce. When I pointed out that the edamame was also (one would hope) a vegan option, the server just said, oh yeah, that too. They told me that the lettuce wraps and spring rolls are not vegan, though I 've been told before that they were, and have eaten them in the past. The edamame were fine, and the harvest curry was good, but the lack of cooperation from the kitchen and waiter, not even some you can have this if we leave off the dressing, was very disappointing. I won 't be back. If you are in the Tropicana and want to have a good vegan dinner, I recommend Cuba Libre, they have some very delicious options, and a knowledgeable staff.
