SAGE Woodfire Tavern - Perimeter

I made reservations and was seated promptly. I ordered the chicken and waffles as an appetizer and the Thai chicken skewers. The waffles were tasty, but I was surprised to find that the chicken was more like small bites than strips. Unfortunately, the chicken had no flavor at all. Perhaps some bacon maple syrup could have helped, but overall it was not very appetizing. My mom ordered the ribs and found them to be stringy, although she had no complaints about the taste. She is quite picky, so I only trust her opinion when she really enjoys something. I decided on the lamb chops, and I was very pleased with them. However, the mashed potatoes seemed a bit off, as I prefer them completely smooth without any lumps. The green beans lacked flavor and seasoning, so I would suggest taking them home and seasoning them to your liking. My daughter ordered the scallops but found them to be overcooked. She should have sent them back, but she ended up swapping with her husband, who had ordered a seafood dish. Overall, I may consider returning, but I am not completely sure. Our waitress was excellent and checked on us regularly. The menu states that a 15% gratuity will be added to bills over $150, but we were charged 20%, so they might want to update their menus.

I had a fantastic time at Sage on Friday, 4/28/2023. My group of 7 had reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. Our server, Maya, was outstanding - friendly and efficient. I ordered the Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken and it was delicious with generous portions. There was music playing, possibly from a DJ, making for a lively atmosphere. I would happily come back again.

Oh my gosh, the food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was incredible! There was a talented artist performing r&b jazz on a keyboard and she was fantastic! We will definitely be returning soon. The drinks and service were also top-notch.

The atmosphere and our waitress were nice. The food quality is poor, order 14oz New York Ribeye steak and it had more fat than meat. About 4oz out of 14oz was edible. My husband order the N.O. Grits and Shrimp and the grits didn't even look like grits or taste. This was our first time visiting and we won't be returning. But, this was our experience maybe whoever reads this will have a better experience food wise.

I can’t believe I waited this long to try out this place. I made a reservation for two through OpenTable. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. The place is enormous. They also have a cute small dance floor. I also got to know that they have live music on some days. Our server McKenna greeted us with a basket of freshly baked goods (a small chocolate brownie, cinnamon roll, croissant, and blueberry muffin). We started with Spicy **** Mary, Cucumber Collins, and Chicken Potstickers. I love love love the spicy **** Mary; it was just perfect. Chicken potstickers were delicious. For mains, I ordered Southern Style Biscuits Gravy with Scrambled Eggs and Pork Sausage, and my husband ordered New York Steak Eggs. The portions are huge. First, I thought the prices were on the higher side but completely justified by the delicious taste and portions. Worth a try.
