The website said there would be a DJ starting at 8 which was perfect since our group of 4 needed to end the night early to relieve a babysitter. The DJ didn’t start until after 9pm which was unfortunate because we really wanted to have the experience of hearing music and experiencing the full vibe. Otherwise, the food was really good. We were stuffed from dinner downstairs but tried the guac and crispy rice tuna. The crispy rice was out of this world. The dinner downstairs also included 4 mini Paloma tokens which were not light on the alcohol given their tiny stature. We also really appreciated the creative mocktail menu as some of us are not big drinkers. The staff was attentive checking in on us often and asking if we needed additional heaters.
The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive and extremely nice, and thr ambiance was incredible.
We went early (3:00 pm) maybe later in the day is more noisy. Food was great as drinks. A little bit pricey (the drinks), especially because the 20% of tip is already included. So, an 8 oz margarita costs $19.2… in a hot day, you won’t make it LOL. Nice music, friendly staff.
This company purposely sent two confirmation text. One for Thursday night and an additional one on the same day for Friday. Making it as if I made two reservations. My husband and i attended Thursday night as that was the night booked. However Friday evening i received a text for a reservation for Friday which I did not make. The automated text is not automated and actually a person who responds ironically . The point in this review is because the cancellation policy is very strict with this restaurant. If you do not cancel within two days they claim to charge your card on file. The additional reservation is very scam like in my opinion. I will not return.
My husband and I usually have a lovely experience at Palo, but the event was a disappointment. It appeared to be disorganized and the bars were unprepared for the event they were hosting. It was extremely hot upstairs and downstairs many guest left prior to the DJs arrival. I was skipped over several times at the bar after visually waiting to place my order for long periods of time even when the bar tenders made direct eye contact. They should just stick to being a quality unique restaurant.
