Stewart House River Grill - Athens

We haven't been in the stewart house for years. I thought it was a nice place to take my mother to Mother's Day. the place is still beautiful! the service was great. the menu was okay. I had the flank steak. while the steak and the kartoffels of the maische were very good, the dressing on the salat could be better. so much edgy or something. the hamburger my mannes was not bad, but he said that a type of preservative was added and left one after the taste. ff regular and truffle were good. what was really disappointing was the chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. it was stale. let's go back, who knows. Sometimes good old fashion eating is best and not crazy mix of objects. let them see the menu themselves before they decide to go.

Manager, Waitstaff, and buser all very professional as well as personable. Food was excellent for pub fare.

The Stewart House remains one of our favorite restaurants. The service is always great and attentive! And, the homey atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
