Tastee Corner - Astoria

A comfortable, medium-sized coffee shop. Directly next to the stairs leading to the station N or W has long been, they have a large menu are very cheap prices. Only once in my many visits I was disappointed. Once I ordered a Hamburger Deluxe and the meat was hard and the frits were extremely dry. Or I've always eaten in this other place.

We discovered this restaurant while heading to the airport. It has a simple, rustic charm, but the food is excellent and served in generous portions. The atmosphere is quite enjoyable, and the service is friendly.

I ordered a turkey, mushroom, and mozzarella omelette, and placed my order at 9:07 AM. It was delivered at 9:30 AM, and I must say, the taste was fantastic. Given the terrible weather, I expected the restaurant to call and cancel my order, but they didn’t. I saw the delivery guy biking here and felt really bad for him, as it was rainy and windy. I appreciated his effort so much that I tipped him 20%; I wish I could have given more. The omelette was excellent, and even though I'm not usually a fan of potatoes, I think I’ll give them a try next time. Overall, great job! I’ll definitely be ordering again soon.

I had a pleasant experience dining here. The burger was flavorful and the portion sizes were generous for the prices, which are quite affordable. The breakfast staff could be a bit cold, but I found the lunch staff to be friendlier. My only issue was that the drinking glasses weren't rinsed properly, as I noticed soap bubbles in my water during breakfast (see photo). I made sure to fill my water glass myself on my later visits. Overall, the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. The restaurant is conveniently located just at the top of the stairs from the 30th Avenue Train Station.
