Contribuiți la feedbackWe loved our stay at Princess Anne and would highly recommend staying here to others. The hotel is a charming old building set in a residential neighborhood. There was a small parking lot as well as street parking. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, we were treated like family. Our room was adorable...very clean and comfortable. We loved the front porch and back porch areas for relaxing. The breakfast was amazing and worth going back for. They also provided wine and appetizers in the late afternoon, which was a nice touch. I would say the Princess Anne does a great job with the little details....fresh flowers on the breakfast tables, bakery items for guests in the sitting room, caramels on the bed, etc. They really know how to host guests. We would love to go back!
It was hard to choose a place to stay in Asheville as there are many great choices. We went with the Princess Anne Hotel because of its location, history, price, and because they included breakfast and cocktail hour. The building is very unique. Very old and lots of history. Be sure to ask the staff about it! It had a lot of European characteristics. There are no usb ports so bring a plug adapter. Our room was huge (king bed, living area, and kitchen area). The bathroom was nice but tiny. They had many closets with some hangers. There was also a safe in a closet if you need to lock anything up. They had a hair dryer in the bathroom. There was a sink, little fridge, and nespresso machine in the kitchen. The included breakfast was phenomenal! They slide a menu under your door and it’s different everyday (with a couple staples). We were expecting bagels and fruit but these were hot, fresh, delicious, gourmet-like breakfasts! They also have a coffee, tea, hot chocolate bar. The offered us juice and they had breakfast cocktails at an additional cost. The cocktail hour was from 4:30-6 every night. Again we didn’t expect much but it was very nice! 4 wine and a couple of beer options plus cheeses, meats, appetizers, desserts, fruits that changed nightly. They had a sitting room, outside area, front porch, back porch, or front patio to enjoy your selections. The staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was very clean. Housekeeping came daily to make our bed, bring fresh towels, and tidy up. The outside shows some wear and they could use some landscaping (but I’m sure that’s not cheap). The carpets were looking old also. You have to ride in their elevator at least once for the experience! The location of the hotel was very good. It’s not directly in the city but it’s right outside of it. It’s about a 15-20 walk to downtown but there are bars, restaurants, bakeries, and shops right down the street from it also. It’s located in a neighborhood that was quite, although there were some noisy birds in the early morning haha!
This is the place to stay in Asheville! Our suite was comfortable and quiet, with a luxurious bathroom and a very comfortable king bed. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. It's in a very convenient location with its own small parking lot. The staff is helpful and attentive. We loved it!
My husband and I have been coming here since 2011. We originally wanted to stay at different places every time we visited Asheville, to experience them all etc…We have stayed other places but only when The Princess Anne is booked up, lol.The rooms are wonderful. They are spacious, super clean, the beds are all incredibly comfy, you can’t choose a bad room. We enjoy the Master Suite when we are able to get it or staying more than a night but are not heartbroken if we can’t.The staff are amazing. From the moment you check in till checkout they are kind, informative, and just super friendly. They have complimentary glasses of wine waiting in the lobby upon your arrival, it helps you unwind after the drive. In the mornings, the breakfast…oh my gosh.Have it in the dining room, trust me, it only adds to the relaxes experience. The food is always and I mean always fantastic. They change the menu daily so it’s more fun if you stay a few days.We actually stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it.Love the location. It’s situated in a very true Asheville type of neighborhood. Interesting houses everywhere you look. You can sit out on the porch having your morning coffee talking and house gazing, lol. Also it’s central to all things Asheville. We have annual passes for Biltmore so that’s what we do most days when we visit. The drive is short and pretty easy.If you get the chance, stay here, there will be no regrets. You won’t want to leave, trust me.Nearby activities: Over the years more little restaurants and coffee shops have popped up within walking distance to the hotel. We have yet to visit these locations but they are definitely on out next trip do visit list.
Our 2nd stay at the Princess Anne was even better than our first. They are gracious, welcoming and have a wonderful breakfast and happy hour two of my favorite things in life. Our room #307) was just right for the two of us, even had a nice big, tiled shower and plenty of space to spread out with a little LR, DR and kitchen area. We had to leave early on Sunday and didn't want to miss their good breakfast so they delivered a really yummy yogurt, granola and melon breakfast while we were away at a wedding Saturday night it made the perfect breakfast to pull out of our fridge that next morning. Bonus is always meeting other nice and interesting guests at the happy hours! It's a super convenient location for anything you plan in Asheville too.
