Contribuiți la feedbackPopped in for a drink after a walk around the old town and was so glad we did! We ended up staying for a couple of hours sampling some of the fabulous wines and beers on their comprehensive but easy to understand menu. Anthony was fantastic in offering advice and suffice to say we made a point of paying another visit when we returned to Annecy later that week. A fantastic find!
We had a nice dinner here, a mixed plate with cheese and charcuterie, some small dishes and a dessert. Maybe a bit expensive but not extreme. Very good wines by the glass and nice suggestions from the staff. We sat outside on the terrace as it was a lovely evening.
It’s really more a wine bar than a restaurant. Stylish upmarket ambiance. Good wine list but only French, I think. The platters are much the same as you can get anywhere here. The service could be more polished. A pet hate of mine; their credit card machine didn’t work which is really a problem.
This is my third comment about Le Salon Français . The restaurant opens now for lunch, with a choice of simple but interesting cooking by Mickael Arnoult, 2 stars chef from les Morainiéres. Cooking made from seasonal products, absolutely enjoyable. Quick service and, as usual, selected choice of nice wines, by glass or bottle. We enjoyed our lunch and a warm welcome from Anthony, the owner. Just try it, you will come back.
We took in a few glasses of excellent wine and an incredible cheese plate one evening during our stay, and really enjoyed the experience. It was pricey, but absolutely worth it, as we tasted the best cheese to date here a runny brie with truffles made locally, which was a gustatory epiphany and sipped some really rewarding wines. Very friendly and welcoming service, too.
