Peters Sushi Spot - Anchorage

Peter's has not been solid for the last three times I've been here. Service has been very slow due to understaffing as well as incomplete orders and drinks never arriving. This used to be one of the best places in town for sushi, but now I would rank it as mediocre at best. Come here If you have time to spare.

Personal favorite new (rediscovered) sushi place for me. They seem very short staffed and all 3 recent times I went in I had to wait a little bit (not long) before anyone noticed me. What I liked though was the staff that was there was very efficient and helpful still even though they were so busy. The online menu is slightly different than the one in there (should take a picture next time). What I keep going back for is their Japanese curry. So so good. Not too spicy, but piping hot (temperature) and flavorful. Potatoes not over cooked, smaller chicken pieces (I like that- I hate huge chunks). I also like their cooked sushi rolls (preggo and can't review their raw rolls). They didn't have a kids menu but for my 4 year old I just ordered a side of rice, and the 2 piece chicken skewer appetizer and it was perfect portion for $10 or so. They even served her soup and salad. Love love love this place, I'll be back before next week I'm sure.

WOWWWWWW you must eat hereeeeee It just doesn't get better than this. First off, the hours listed on Yelp are off, so you have to call to see the times. Secondly, the service was very nice and they catered to our big group very well. We ordered a two sushi boats, the veggie JJAMpong, wagyu sushi, miso cod, and the fried chicken. Honestly EVERYTHING was delicious. The boat had: yellowtail, scallops, toro, tuna, salmon, albacore, makerel, and others that I do not recall...BUT it was all amazing. Best sushi of my life. Congratulations Peters sushi, you have won this humble yelper's award Although their sushi' is amazing, you CANNOT SLEEP on their veggie jjampong and miso cod. Their veggie jjampong is off the menu, and I have never had anything like it. It's soooooooo flavorful with the perfect spice level that leaves your whole body warm and refreshed. Highly recommend!! I came here years ago and there was a spicy tuna tower on a specials menu. I have to order it every time I come now it's so good and unique. This time I came just for the tuna tower and like usual it did not disappoint. It's not a traditional roll it is more like a layered cake with rice on the bottom, crab, avocado, spicy tuna, spicy mayo, eel sauce, sriracha and finally some sesame seeds. I always ask for a fork because it is a bit frustrating to try and eat it with chopsticks. I asked to see if it was still on a specials menu because there wasn't one on our table and the waitress said it is. The price did go up recently though and I'm not sure it's worth $23.

My friend recommended so that I decided to try and was not disappointed!! The raw fish was very fresh and thick sashimi cut was just what I needed. The service was very attentive and friendly. I stayed for a long time talking to my friend, but they were not pushy about clearing the table and let us stay comfortably. I would definitely return to try other food here very soon!!
