Sunken At The Cape Thompson

I took the mixology class by Valeria at the Sunken Bar. The staff had a bar top table set up with mixers and bar tools. Valeria was on time, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She informed me that I would be learning to make 3 cocktails and would provide the recipes. She also explained how to use some of the bar tools, how to shake a cocktail with ice, and gave me the flexibility to make my own creation. This was my first mixology class and I found it not only very informative but enjoyed the delicious cocktails as well.

We stopped by for a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine after having checked in to the Cape and after a long day of travel. The service was incredible! First off, THE VIEW! I absolutely cannot believe it. On top of that, Paco, our waiter, was so nice and really sweet. He was very friendly and my husband and I loved getting to know him. The SUSHI! I’m from Los Angeles which has incredible sushi and this may have rivaled the best of the best. This is a great spot if you’re staying at the hotel for a happy hour beverage and pre-dinner snack!
