Somali African Safari - Amarillo

We had a very pleasant meal of goat meat on rice and a bowl of beef stew. A record was a lot for both of us. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we tried to find out what to order.

Ok the place does not look attractive from the street, but it gets a 97 out of 100 from the Heath department. The food is authentic and the noodles have enough taste to be a meal themselves. The goat perfectly boiled, tender with little gristle, which can be usual with cheap cuts. People are very nice when you deal with them. No menus to ask what you want. Just get goats, noodles and rice.

For $20 we received all of this wonderful food that was seasoned to perfection. How could it not disappear? Granted, I am stuffed! The spaghetti is slightly spicy not tomatoey, which was not only really good, but paired with the chicken it had a perfect flavor. We were also bought a slightly spicy sauce to add to the chicken. So good. The meat dish we ate using the bread as a sort of wrap. Tear off a piece and pinch up some meat. Here too, amazing flavor. I am looking forward to going back!

The best african food in Amarillo. The owner is very nice guy and very friendly and very helpful. Specially if you are a truck driver they do have a truck parking. I’m definitely recommend this restaurant.

A little off the beaten path from the highway, but it's worth it! Quick and fresh. Some of the best Pho ever, woman had Pad Tai, daughter udon chicken and we were all saved.
